Anthill is a story-sharing platform for Zambian writers, connecting authors with readers who seek stories that reflect their lives, languages, and spaces. We are committed to protecting your privacy while facilitating the sharing of original Zambian fiction.
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, publish stories, make purchases, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, profile information, payment details, banking information for authors, and any content you submit to our platform. We also automatically collect usage information, device data, and analytics to improve our services and ensure quality.
We use your information to provide and improve our services, process transactions and author payments, facilitate editorial review, communicate with you, personalize your reading experience, ensure platform security, prevent AI-generated content submissions, and comply with legal obligations. We may also use aggregated, anonymized data for research and analytics purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers including payment processors, hosting services, and the editorial team; when required by law; to protect our rights or safety; or with your explicit consent. Authors' public profiles and published content are visible to other users as part of our platform's functionality. Banking information is shared only with payment processors for author compensation.

For authors, we collect and retain additional information including banking details for payment processing, sales data, editorial feedback, and submission history. We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services, process payments, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Account information is retained until you delete your account. Published content may be retained even after account deletion to honor reader purchases. Author payment records are retained as required by law for financial reporting.
