Engineer III – Mechanical
Woolslayer Companies Inc. in Catoosa, OK seeks an Engineer III – Mechanical to join our team. Responsibilities include:
- Designing complex mechanical assemblies
- Conducting or supervising engineering studies & evaluations
- Inspecting the fabrication of engineered products for conformity with drawings and specifications
- Laying out & designing projects using schematic layout
- Performing & reviewing mechanical design & analysis calculations using governing codes and standards
- Reviewing & approving drawings submitted by designers for conformance to design and technical standards
- Preparing technical information concerning assembly techniques, materials, properties, and advantages and limitations that affect long-range engineering planning
- Preparing engineering proposals, requirements, and related technical data pertaining to design
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering degree) from an ABET accredited school
- 10 years of experience in rig manufacturing and/or drilling operations or similar experience
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices of drilling equipment
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License with no alcohol-related charges on record
Schedule: 40 hrs/week (8-5), full-time, regular

- Designing complex structures
- Performing structural analysis of plans & structures prepared by other engineers
- Conducting or supervising engineering studies & evaluations
- Inspecting fabrication of engineered equipment for conformity with drawings and specifications
- Laying out & designing projects using schematic layout
- Compiling and analyzing operational, test, & research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified structures
- Generating or reviewing reports
- Determining feasibility of designing new structures or modifying existing structures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related engineering degree) from an ABET accredited school
- 10 years of experience in rig manufacturing and/or drilling operations or similar experience
- Advanced knowledge of methods and materials used in fabrication of steel drilling structures
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License with no alcohol-related charges on record
